This May I'll be walking 10,000 steps for sick children in Perth children's hospital.

Last July, my son was admitted to Perth childrens hospital being diagnosed pneumonia. We had spent 8 days in hospital whilst he was fighting the infection. Having to see my son have multiple blood tests, cannulas, IV antibiotics and almost needing oxygen, it was one the hardest things I've had to deal with being a mum.

The starlight room was a place we could go to during the day to put a smile on his face. The days when he was very sick the starlight foundation had the starlight captains come to his room and were amazing, they were so interactive and funny. 

Our last day at the hospital when being discharged , my son got to opportunity to meet some Dockers players. 

This foundation really does go above and beyond to help these very sick children make life happier.

This May, I’m taking on the Super Steps challenge to raise funds that will make hospital a happier place for seriously ill children.

I’ve set myself a goal to walk or run thousands of steps every day, for an entire month. And I need your support.

When you sponsor my challenge, you’ll help create much needed happiness for sick kids and their families. The money you donate will help seriously ill children cope better with the pain and stress of treatment, and helps families feel more connected and positive about what lies ahead.
