In hospital rooms full of beeping, blinking and light,
Where days can feel very heavy and sleep skips the night.
With us, hope can still grow where compassion takes the lead,
And kindness in action meets genuine need.
This May, I'm taking steps with a purpose and grace,
Each step to help and show I'm truly there
Thousands of steps, each one a small change,
To help lift their spirits, and make life less strange
Your help is the fuel that powers this train,
Lifting little hearts and relieving parents' strain.

To keep joy afloat, for kids with more than just a sore throat
The pain and the fear? I can't make them disappear,
But WE can bring some cheer and keep loved ones near.
