The Starlight Super Steps

The Starlight Super Steps (supersteps.org.au) is a fundraising initiative owned and operated by Starlight Children's Foundation Australia (Starlight).

 

The Challenge

  1. The challenge starts on 1 May 2025 and ends on 31 May 2025.
  2. To be eligible to receive a reward, Super Steps fundraisers need to meet the conditions outlined below (under "Rewards") by Thursday 11:59pm AEST on 6 June 2025.
  3. Any additional fundraising activity must be completed by 11:59pm AEST on 30 June 2025, and funds raised as part of the campaign must be banked before this date. The Super Steps fundraising pages will remain open until 11:59pm AEST on 30 June 2025.
  4. While participating in this challenge may have health benefits, Starlight provides no warranty whatsoever that this challenge will achieve an individual's health goals. The challenge has not been developed with any individual's particular health requirements in consideration.
  5. Do not rely on the information provided in relation to the Super Steps challenge as an alternative to medical advice from a doctor or other professional healthcare provider. If participants have any specific health or medical concerns, they should consult with their medical or healthcare provider, prior to changing their diet, nutrition, or exercise regimen.
  6. While Starlight has made every attempt to ensure that the information provided as part of the Super Steps challenge has been obtained from reliable sources, Starlight is not responsible for any errors or omissions, or for the results obtained from the use of this information.

 

Agreement

I/We understand the terms and conditions under which any fundraising activities benefiting Starlight Children's Foundation need to operate. I/We have read Starlight's terms and conditions and offer to participate in Super Steps in accordance with those terms and conditions.

 

By agreeing to these Terms of Fundraising you acknowledge:

  1. Will be solely responsible for all your activities on the supersteps.org.au site also referred to as the Site;
  2. No person under the age of 18 may use supersteps.org.au to donate or fundraise, unless the permission of a parent or guardian is sought to participate in the challenge.
  3. You agree to the Statement of Commitment to Safeguarding Children and Young People;
  4. You do not have any pending/current charges or past criminal convictions relating to a sexual offence. You do not have any convictions of a violent nature or assault. You have never been convicted, with or without trial of, pleaded guilty or no contest to a theft or fraud charge. You are not currently awaiting or attending a trial or been arrested for a theft, fraud charge, sexual offence, assault or crime of a violent nature.
  5. Starlight may ask you to consent to a National Police Check;
  6. You will be solely responsible for all your activities on the supersteps.org.au site also referred to as the Site;
  7. You have the legal capacity to enter these terms;
  8. You will keep all passwords, account names, log in identifiers required to access supersteps.org.au secure and confidential;
  9. You will not use supersteps.org.au in any way that causes, or is likely to cause, the site or access to it to be interrupted, damaged or impaired in any way;
  10. You will not use the site to misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organisation;
  11. You will not use the Site to conduct, display or forward details of any survey, contest, pyramid scheme or chain letter or use any part of our Site to send commercial messages in contradiction of the Spam Act 2003 (Cth)
  12. You will not attempt to modify, adapt, translate, sell, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any portion of the site, any associated website or any other website.
  13. You will not hide, deface, alter or delete any copyright symbol, trademark or other proprietary rights notice;
  14. You will not use any part of the Site which you are not authorised to use or devise ways to circumvent security in order to access part of the Site which you are not authorised to access. This includes, but is not limited to, scanning networks with the intent to breach and/or evaluate security, whether or not the intrusion results in access.
  15. You will not use or attempt to use the Site for any unlawful, criminal or negligent purpose. This includes, but is not limited to, password cracking, social engineering (defrauding others into releasing their passwords), denial-of-service attacks, harmful and malicious destruction of data, infringing the intellectual property rights of any person, and injection of computer viruses and intentional invasion of privacy.
  16. Starlight requires that there be no door-to-door appeals, street collections or telephone solicitation of any kind to the public in connection with the Super Steps challenge.
  17. You agree to comply with all applicable Fundraising Acts, other laws, regulations and by-laws (including all applicable privacy laws) and any other conditions which we may notify to you. In participating in the Super Steps challenge, you agree to refrain from doing anything which may reasonably be expected to damage the goodwill, reputation or integrity of Starlight.

 

Disclaimer:

Starlight Children’s Foundation reserves the right to withdraw approval to fundraise should it be necessary to protect its reputation.

 

Safeguarding Children & Young People Statement of Commitment

 

Starlight Children's Foundation exists to brighten the lives of seriously ill and hospitalised children, young people and their families by providing positive and enriching experiences that support their well-being and resilience. Our most important responsibility is to ensure our programs are provided in an environment that is caring, nurturing and safe for all children and young people. To achieve this, we support, encourage and expect our team to strive for the highest possible standards with respect to safeguarding children and young people from abuse.

 

Starlight’s Safeguarding Children and Young People policy is that as an organisation, we do all that we can ethically, morally and legally to safeguard the children and young people we work with from sexual, physical, emotional or psychological abuse. This is done by defining expected behaviours and processes to support a culture that priorities the safeguarding of children, young people and families engaging in Starlight programs and fundraising activities.

 

By fundraising for Starlight, you are taken to have given the Starlight Children’s Foundation an assurance that you have not been and do not intend to be:– Found guilty by a Court of a sexual offence against the person of a student or child; or– Dismissed from any employment on the grounds that you were/are involved in improper conduct of a sexual nature with a student or child; or– Retired or resigned from any employment following allegations that you were involved in improper conduct of asexual nature with a student or child; or– Advised by any employer that your name is included on a list of those not to be employed in a child-related area of activity. If you cannot give this assurance, you should not fundraise for Starlight Children’s Foundation. If you fundraise for Starlight when you are not in a position to give such assurance, the Starlight Children’s Foundation may withdraw approval for you to fundraise without notice.

 

Rewards & Competition Prize Draws

To be eligible to receive a reward, Super Steps fundraisers need to meet the conditions outlined below.

 

  1. Fundraisers must provide an Australian delivery address when they complete the claim form to receive fundraising rewards. Starlight will not send rewards to addresses outside of Australia.
  2. Only donations made directly to an individual fundraiser’s page and Facebook Fundraiser will count towards their fundraising rewards milestones. Donations made to team or organisation fundraising pages will not be included in individual fundraising totals for the purpose of reward eligibility.
  3. If a prize includes vouchers, the vouchers are only valid until the voucher expiry date specified on the voucher or by the provider and are subject to any terms and conditions imposed by the voucher provider. Once awarded, Starlight (the Promoter) is not liable for any voucher that has been lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in any way. Vouchers cannot be exchanged or refunded for cash.
  4. Returning Super Steppers: will receive a Super Steps Snapback Cap while stocks last. In order to be eligible for this cap, you must be using the same email-address to sign up as used previously.
  5. Reach your milestone fundraising targets, as outlined below, to be eligible to claim the rewards listed below:
    1. Raise $150 – Super Steps shoelaces
    2. Raise $300 - Super Steps medal
    3. Raise $500 - Super Steps t-shirt
    4. Raise $750 – Super Steps picnic blanket, and an entry into the draw to win a $1,000 JD Sports voucher.
  6. Once you have reached the fundraising milestone, you are required to claim the rewards you want in your fundraising dashboard. You will also be notified by email and receive the link to claim your rewards.
  7. Only once you claim your rewards will your rewards be dispatched.
  8. Reward recipients will be notified by email in the week rewards are dispatched. All physical rewards will be delivered to the address provided in the reward claim form.
  9. To be eligible for the first rewards dispatch, fundraisers will need to raise $500 or more before midnight AEST Sunday 20 April 2025. Earned rewards and Caps to new & returning participants will be dispatched the following week.
  10. To be eligible for the second rewards dispatch, fundraisers will need to raise over $150 before midnight AEST Sunday, 10 May 2025. Earned rewards and Caps to new & past participants will be dispatched the following week.
  11. Any additional rewards earned after these dates will be included in the third and final dispatch, week commencing 9 June. Fundraisers have until 11:59 pm Sunday, 8 June 2025 to earn the rewards.

 

 

Dollar match 1

Double your impact: $1=$2 for a limited time only, thanks to a generous anonymous Starlight donor

  • Eligible entrants will have their donations matched from 9am AEST on Thursday, 1 May 2025 until $50,000 is exhausted.
  • Donations must be made through individual fundraising profiles, the donate page, or Facebook fundraisers.
  • Fundraisers will be notified 1 day before and the day of via email, sms, and social posts.
  • Funds raised through the dollar match, and wider campaign, will be used to fund the in-hospital programs run by Starlight Children's Foundation including Captain Starlight, Starlight Express rooms and Rocket Rounds.
  • Match giving will go towards individual fundraisers' donation tally and the Starlight Super Steps 2025 campaign.

 

To enter, Eligible Entrants must, during the Dollar Match Period: 

  • Be a successfully registered participant ofSuper Steps 2025.
  • Submit theirdonations correctly via their unique Super Steps registration form or individual fundraising page, not Facebook or Instagram.

 

 

 

Team Up Prize Draw: Walking Pad

Participants who are in a team (with 2 or more people) will receive an entry into the draw to win a Walking Pad, valued at $275.95.

 

  1. To be eligible in the draw to win a Walking Pad, Super Steps fundraisers need to meet the conditions outlined below by 11:59pm AEST on Sunday, 4 May 2025. Total Prize value is AUD $275.95 (1 x winner, $275.95 walking pad).
  2. Fundraisers who are team captains are entitled to multiple entries for every person that joins their team. Fundraisers who are in a team as a participant (not captain) are entitled to one entry.
  3. The Winner will be notified via the email address used when signing up, within 7 days of the prize being drawn.
  4. The draw will take place at 10am (AEST) on Monday 5 May 2025 at the Promoter’s offices in Sydney, Level 11, 1 Pacific Highway, North Sydney, NSW 2060.
  5. Winners must respond to that email, confirming their details, within 7 days. If the prize is not claimed within this timeframe, it will be redrawn.
  6. To enter, Eligible Entrants must, during the Competition Period:

Be one of the first 100 people to register from 8:15am on Monday, 7 April from the Super Steps cap Meta ad will receive a Super Steps Snapback Cap.

 

  1. To enter, Eligible Entrants must, be one of the first 100 people to register from the New Participant Cap ad on Meta after 8:15am on Monday, 7 April:
    1. Register as a new participant of Super Steps 2025 at supersteps.org.au

Incomplete registrant giveaway: Super Steps Snapback Caps

Participants who complete their Super Steps registration before 30 May after receiving the promotional text message on Tuesday, 22 April or 29 April will receive a Super Steps Snapback Cap.

 

  1. To enter, Eligible Entrants must, receive the promotional text message on 22 or 29 April 2025:
    1. Register for Super Steps 2025 at supersteps.org.au by 30 May 2025.
    2. Successfully submit their correct details as a part of their profile set up, including Name, Email, and Address.  Incomplete, illegible, or incorrect entries are invalid. 
    3. Entrants can only enter the Competition in their own name.
  2. Caps will be dispatched in two sends to Eligible participants. The first is the week commencing 10 May 2025. The second is week commencing 9 June 2025.

 

Final day giveaway: Super Steps shoelaces

Participants who get their very first donation and raise over $39 or more on Saturday, 31 May will receive a pair of Super Steps shoelaces.

 

  1. To enter, Eligible Entrants must, receive the promotional text message on 31 May 2025:
    1. Have registered for Super Steps 2025 at supersteps.org.au.
    2. Successfully submit their correct details as a part of their profile set up, including Name, Email, and Address.  Incomplete, illegible, or incorrect entries are invalid. 
    3. Have raised $0 by 30 May 2025.
    4. Get their first donation and raise over $39 on Saturday, 31 May 2025.
    5. Entrants can only enter the Competition in their own name.
  2. Shoelaces will be dispatched to Eligible participants the week commencing 9 June 2025, along with any other rewards they’ve earnt.

 

 

Past participant giveaway: Brooks shoes

Returning Super Steppers will go in the draw to win a pair of Brooks shoes if they register before 30 April 2025 (value to be confirmed).

 

  1. To be eligible for the draw to win a pair of Brooks shoes, Super Steps past participants need to meet the conditions outlined below by 11:59pm AEST on Wednesday, 30 April 2025. Total Prize value is to be confirmed (1 x winner).
  2. The Winner will be notified via the email address used when signing up, within 7 days of the prize being drawn.

  • Participants are entitled to a single matched donation during the allocated period.
  • Funds raised through the dollar match, and wider campaign, will be used to fund the in-hospital programs run by Starlight Children's Foundation including Captain Starlight, Starlight Express rooms and Rocket Rounds.
  • Match giving will go towards individual fundraisers' donation tally and the Starlight Super Steps 2025 campaign.

  • To be eligible in the draw to win one of five Fitbits (valued at AUD $175 each), Super Steppers need to meet the conditions outlined below by 11:59pm 4 May AEST. Total prize value is AUD $760.75 (5 x winners, 5 x items).
  • The self-donation must be $39 or more and made within 7 days of signing up.
  • Donations must be made through the registration form or individual fundraising profiles, where the Donor Email must match the email fundraisers signed up with for it to be recognised as a self-donation.
  • Fundraisers are notified during registration and reminded via email.
  • Participants are entitled to a single matched donation during the allocated period.

Participants who raise $24 or more within 24hrs, will receive an entry into the draw to win one Jabra Bluetooth Speaker, valued at $150.

 

  1. To be eligible in the draw to win the Jabra Speaker, Super Steps fundraisers need to meet the conditions outlined below by 12:00pm AEDT on 28 March 2025. Total Prize value is AUD $150 (1 x winners, 1 x $150 item).
  2. Fundraisers are entitled to one entry if they raise AUD $24 or more between 12:00pm AEDT on 27 March and 12:00pm AEDT on 28 March 2025.
  3. The Winner will be notified via the email address used when signing up, within 7 days of the prize being drawn.

Participants who raise $39 in the next 7 days will receive an entry into the draw to win 1 of 4 x Brooks vouchers, valued at $250 each.

 

  1. To be eligible in the draw to win a Brooks voucher, Super Steps fundraisers need to meet the conditions outlined below by 11:59pm AEST on Wednesday, 30 April 2025. The total prize value is AUD $1,000 (4 x winners, 4 x $250 vouchers).
  2. The voucher is not redeemable for cash.
  3. The voucher can only be redeemed online.
  4. The voucher can only be redeemed in one transaction. Any remaining funds will be forfeited.
  5. The voucher is not to be used in conjunction with any other offer.
  6. Only one voucher can be used per transaction
  7. The voucher expires on 30 September 2025.

Set up a Facebook Fundraiser & raise $39 to win: $100 EB Games voucher

Participants who set up a Facebook Fundraiser & get a $39 donation or more in 3 days will receive an entry into the draw to win one of five EB Games vouchers, valued at $100 each.

 

  1. To be eligible in the draw to win an EB Games voucher, Super Steps fundraisers need to meet the conditions outlined below between 14 May 12:00pm AEST and 17 May at 5:00pm AEST. Total Prize pool value is AUD $500 (5 x winners, 5 x $100 items).
  2. Fundraisers are entitled to one entry for if they have set up a Facebook Fundraiser via their Dashboard & raising $39 between 14 May 12:00pm AEST and 17 May at 5:00pm AEST.
  3. The Winner will be notified via the email address used when signing up, within 7 days of the prize being drawn.
  4. The draw will take place at 10am (AEST) on 19 May 2025 at the Promoter’s offices in Sydney, Level 11, 1 Pacific Highway, North Sydney, NSW 2060.
  5. Winners must respond to that email, confirming their details, within 7 days. If the prize is not claimed within this timeframe, it will be redrawn.
  6. To enter, Eligible Entrants must, during the Competition Period:

Raise $24 in 24hrs to win: $200 Ampol voucher

Participants who raise $24 or more within 24hrs, will receive an entry into the draw to win one of two Ampol vouchers, valued at $200 each.

 

  1. To be eligible in the draw to win an Ampol voucher, Super Steps fundraisers need to meet the conditions outlined below between 22 May 12:00pm AEST and 23 May at 12:00pm AEST. Total Prize pool value is AUD $400 (2 x winners, 2 x $200 items).
  2. Fundraisers are entitled to one entry for raising over AUD $24 in the allocated period.
  3. The Winner will be notified via the email address used when signing up, within 7 days of the prize being drawn.
  4. The draw will take place at 1pm (AEST) on 23 May 2025 at the Promoter’s offices in Sydney, Level 11, 1 Pacific Highway, North Sydney, NSW 2060.
  5. Winners must respond to that email, confirming their details, within 7 days. If the prize is not claimed within this timeframe, it will be redrawn.
  6. To enter, Eligible Entrants must, during the Competition Period:
    1. Be a registered participant ofSuper Steps 2025 at supersteps.org.au

VIP Star Steppers Draw: $1,000 JD Sports voucher

Participants who raise $750 or more before midnight AEST on 8 June 2025, will receive an entry into the draw to win a $1,000 JD Sports voucher.  

 

  1. To be eligible in the draw, Super Steps fundraisers need to meet the conditions outlined below by 11:59pm AEST on 8 June 2025. The total Prize value is AUD $1,000 (1 x winner, 1 x $1,000 voucher)
  2. Fundraisers are entitled to one entry only.
  3. The draw will take place at 10am (AEST) on Friday, 13 June 2025 at the Promoter’s offices in Sydney, Level 11, 1 Pacific Highway, North Sydney, NSW 2060.
  4. Winners must respond to that email, confirming their details, within 7 days. If the prize is not claimed within this timeframe, it will be redrawn.
  5. To enter, Eligible Entrants must, during the Competition Period:
    1. Be a registered participant ofSuper Steps 2025 at supersteps.org.au
    2. Successfully submit theircorrect details as a part of their profile set-up, including Name, Email, and Address.  Incomplete, illegible, or incorrect entries are invalid.
    3. Be a member of the VIP Star Steppers group and have raised over $750.
    4. Entrants can only enter the Competition in their own name.

 

 

Survey prize draw:

Participants who complete the survey before 11:59pm AEST on 15 June 2025, will receive an entry into the draw to win one of two SABA Organics Hampers, which provides a year’s worth of SABA products.

 

  1. To be eligible in the draw, Super Steps fundraisers need to meet the conditions outlined below by 11:59pm AEST on 15 June 2025. The total Prize value is AUD $1,000 ( 2 x winners, 2 x hampers valued at $500 each).
  2. Fundraisers who complete the survey are entitled to one entry only.
  3. The Winners will be notified via the email address used when signing up, within 7 days of the prize being drawn.
  4. The draw will take place at 10am AEST on Monday 16 June 2025 at the Promoter’s offices in Sydney, Level 11, 1 Pacific Highway, North Sydney, NSW 2060.
  5. Winners must respond to that email, confirming their details, within 7 days. If the prize is not claimed within this time frame, it will be redrawn.
  6. To enter, Eligible Entrants must, during the Competition Period:
    1. Be a registered participant of Super Steps 2025 at supersteps.org.au
    2. Successfully complete the survey emailed to participants on 3 June 2025.
    3. Successfully submit their correct details as a part of their profile set-up, including Name, Email and Address. Incomplete, illegible or incorrect entries are invalid.
    4. Entrants can only enter the Competition in their own name.

 

 

 

Starlight Super Steps Cashrewards offer

 

Super Steps Participants who sign up as a new member to Cashrewards can earn $10 bonus cashback on their first eligible $20 purchase.  

 

  1. To be eligible for this offer, Super Steps participants need to meet the conditions outlined below by 11:59pm AEST on 31 May 2025.
  2. Where all Eligibility Criteria are met, the $10 cashback bonus will be approved and paid into the Eligible Entrants Cashrewards account by 15 June 2025. For clarity the bonus will not appear under ‘My Rewards’ until it is approved.
  3. Bonus is limited to one per Cashrewards account.
  4. To enter, Eligible Entrants must, during the Promotional Period:

Starlight does not encourage the use of Starlight children in events or in the media in any way that would compromise their privacy. Should you wish to include some stories, testimonials or case studies in your promotional material the Super Steps Team will be able to provide you with appropriate material.
