My target 10000 Steps
I’m fundraising for the Starlight Children’s Foundation. And I need YOUR support.
My Why 💫
Did you know that every minute of every day, a child is admitted to hospital in Australia?
This May, I’m taking on the Super Steps challenge — walking 10,000 steps every single day — to raise funds for Starlight Children’s Foundation and help make hospital a happier place for seriously ill children.
This cause is incredibly close to my heart.
As a child living with cystic fibrosis, I spent a lot of time in the Royal Children’s Hospital. Hospital can be scary, overwhelming and exhausting — not just for the child, but for the whole family. But some of my most special childhood memories were actually made there, all thanks to Starlight.
I have the fondest memories of the old Starlight Room on the ground floor — running amuck with my family, laughing, playing games, and completely forgetting why I was even there in the first place. For those moments, I wasn’t a sick kid. I was just a kid.
Starlight creates much-needed happiness during some of the toughest times in a family’s life. They help seriously ill children cope better with the pain and stress of treatment, and they help families feel more connected, hopeful and positive about what lies ahead.
The Starlight Foundation did so much for me and my family, and this challenge is my way of giving back — while also pushing myself physically and mentally for something bigger than me.
If you’re able to sponsor me, any amount — big or small — will help brighten the lives of sick kids when they need it most.
